The highest point in the Chilean Coast Range is Cerro Vicuña Mackenna, which peaks at 10,217 feet (3,114 m).
Daily Overview
Based in New York, New York.
Daily Overview, an ongoing project founded by Benjamin Grant, was inspired by, and derives its name from, an idea known as the Overview Effect. This term refers to the sensation that astronauts experience when given the opportunity to look down and view the Earth from outer space. They have the chance to appreciate our home in its entirety, to reflect on its beauty and its fragility all at once. That’s the cognitive shift that we hope to inspire. The Overviews (what we call these images) focus primarily on the places and moments where human activity — for better or for worse — has shaped the landscape. The mesmerizing flatness seen from this vantage point, the surprising comfort of systematic organization on a massive scale, or the vibrant colors that we highlight will hopefully turn your head. However, once we have that attention, we hope you will go beyond the aesthetics, contemplate just exactly what it is that you're seeing, and consider what that means for our planet.
According to options you choose, mockup illustrations in the image display section helps you get
an idea how big is the artwork.
Unless specified otherwise, sizes in the options are of images only.
For framing, width of frames is around 1 inch and width of padding is around 2 inch. So the final
size of frame with mat is the size of image plus 6 inch; the final size of frame without mat is
the size of image plus 2 inch. Frame or mat may cover each side of the image for 0.25 inch.
For face mount, sizes do not change.
